Andrew Sykes became a Non-executive Director of the Company in 2007. He was a Director of Schroders plc from 1998 to 2004, having joined Schroders in 1978. He was responsible for Schroders' fixed income businesses (including Treasury and Foreign Exchange) until 2000, and subsequently for private banking and alternative investments, including hedge funds, property, private equity and structured products.
He is a Non-executive Director of Smith & Williamson Holdings Limited, Gulf International Bank (UK) Limited and SVG Capital plc, Chairman of Invista Foundation Property Trust Limited and Absolute Return Trust Limited, and chairs the investment committee of the Schroders Retirement Benefits Scheme.
